ELECTRODE HOLDERS
STRAIGHT ELECTRODE
HOLDERS
This is the most commonly used style of electrode holder.
These holders are available in many styles and lengths. We are pleased
to sell both Mallory (CMW) and Tuffaloy holders. These are water cooled
holders to prevent electrode over heating.
The holders we sell are available in #1,#2, or #3 Morris Taper, or with threaded ends that can take either threaded electrodes or adapters.
Electrode holders are available in 3/4, 7/8, 1, 1-1/4, and 1-1/2" diameters and standard barrel lengths from 3-12" . Longer barrel lengths are available on request. The majority of our customers, though, use a 1" or 1-1/4" diameter barrel in either an 8 or 12" length.
One of the nicer options available with straight holders is the ejector button. This enables you to change the electrode by simply hitting the ejector button to pop out the tip. This prevents damage to the taper end which occurs when someone has to twist an electrode out with a wrench when they replace a worn tip. The holder pictured above is an ejector style holder.
We can also supply you with replacement parts for these holders.
OFFSET HOLDERS
Quite often, you have to have an offset holder to get into those tight corners, or under the lip in pre-bent parts. This is where an offset holder is the handiest. These holders are available in either a 2" or 4" offset with a tip angle of either 90 degree, or 30 degree. The holder pictured below is a 4" offset with a 90 degree end angle. These holders come with a shank diameter or 7/8, 1, 1-1/4", or 1-1/2".
Offset holders are available in #1,#2,or #3 Morris taper.
These holders are also water cooled to prevent your electrode from overheating.
Again, you can get the option of an ejector button on these holders. The offset holder pictured above does not have the ejecter button.
UNIVERSAL ELECTRODE HOLDERS
The last type of holder we will show is a water cooled universal holder. This is a holder which can be slid in the T-holder to change the length of the offset. The endpiece is removable, and can accept a straight, 30 degree, or 90 degree end piece.
The end piece can take a #1, 2, or 3 Morris Taper electrode, and is available in either a ejector or non-ejector style.
The T-connecting sub assembly is available in a 7/8, 1, 1-1/4, or 1-1/2" shank. The barrel of the holder can be a 1, 1-1/4, or 1-1/2" diameter.
